Maison Saint-Gabriel, Museum and Historic Site

2146, Place Dublin Montréal, Québec, Canada H3K 2A2

Maison Saint-Gabriel is the oldest architectural example of Montreal’s rural history. Our guides in period costumes describe the daily life of the people who lived in this old farmhouse. It was acquired by Marguerite Bourgeoys in 1668 and was the place where she welcomed the King’s Wards in Ville-Marie. Plan a visit of our gardens restored in the spirit of New France. They present, in aromatic and colourful fashion, another facet of the living heritage offered by our museum. You will fall under the spell of our historical site and its garden experience.
